In this series, we are interviewing members of our club, so that you can get to know each other a bit better. Today we talk with Adriana Dea Zubi about her life and work in the region.

What brought you to the French Riviera?

I’ve moved to the French Riviera in February 2020. I fell in love with the region from the first time I visited, and I’ve been coming back for holidays many times before deciding to move here.

Initially it was supposed to be only for a couple of months to improve my French, but I loved it so much that I decided to settle here permanently. And I am happy that I’ve made this decision every day!

Could you tell us about your professional career? What do or did you do for work?

I studied marketing in Zagreb (Croatia) and Paris (France), and obtained my master’s degree in London (England).

My professional path began slightly different, as my first job here in France was as a real estate agent. Very soon I realised that sales isn’t really my thing.

Which is why I started doing freelance marketing. Particularly focused on web design, graphic design and social media management.

I’ve also had a great opportunity to take over the marketing position within the agency I worked in, where I stayed for another year.

In the beginning of 2023, I started the position of marketing manager in a yachting company in Monaco. Even though it was a great experience, I missed freelancing and the possibility to manage my own time and work location independent so I can spend more time with my family that is in Croatia.

I founded a marketing agency specialised in web design called “Infinite”, as I love to help people and businesses to reach their infinite potential!

What does your company do?

My agency is specialised in web design and content creation. I also do social media management and advertising.

Why did you decide to start your own business?

As I’ve previously mentioned, I was always a free-spirit and love to have control over my own time and work that I do. Living in a foreign country, away from my family, was also a big factor for me as I wanted to be more flexible. And of course able to visit them more and spend more time with my friends and family back home.

What is your best advice to others thinking about living or working on the French Riviera?

My advice is to just focus on the good things about this area as when you become aware of how beautiful and good quality of life you can have here, you never want to move away.

There are countless amazing spots and places to discover. Many amazing and international people to be friends with. And not to mention the beauty of being able to have a lunch on the beach under the sun in December 🙂

Could you share your thoughts on the club and events?

I am so grateful I discovered the Business club. I’ve met so many amazing people that some of them I am happy to call good friends now. I went to quite a few events and always left with the experience of meeting amazing people, sharing connection and having great conversations.

Whoever might be hesitating to join any of the events – just do it! You will be greeted with many smiles and warm welcome, and leave with an amazing experience and good friends!
