In this series, we are interviewing members of our club, so that you can get to know each other a bit better. Today we talk with Cedric Bernier about his life and work in the region.
What brought you to the French Riviera? How long have you been here?
I have been looking for a way to move to the South of France for a long time. A year ago, I came to visit the French Riviera and loved it. My employer is located in Villeneuve-Loubet.
Could you tell us about your professional career? What do or did you do for work?
I am originally from Quebec, Canada. 15 years ago, I moved to the United States to play professional ice hockey. Ultimately ended up playing for 5 years and then stayed in the USA and worked in Banking. I became a financial advisor after a few years. In France, I have been working as a Private Client Advisor for Expats.
What does the company that you work for do?
Harrison Brook helps Expats with their financial needs. Our expertise is on wealth management and retirement planning. I have a focus on assisting American Expats but we have licensing covering most of the world, including Europe and the USA.

Since when do you live on the French Riviera?
It has been seven months.
Where are you originally from?
Canada and USA.
What is your favourite spot on the French Riviera?
I really like the village of Èze.
What French word, expression or sentence do you find very difficult to pronounce?
Being French Canadian, there are many words that I pronounce the wrong way.
I am really happy to be living on the Cote d’Azur. It is an amazing region. I am passionate about helping Expats with their financial needs and would love to connect with more English speakers in the Riviera.
