First a little bit of history!
Can we start by saying how grateful we are for your amazing support!
Since our start in September 2019, moments before being shut down for the bigger part of 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19, the community has grown to over a whopping 3,300 English speakers on the French Riviera.
Robin and I started organising relaxed events because we simply did not have any friends or a professional network here when we moved to the beautiful La Côte d’Azur.
We were simply hoping to meet some people in a relaxed atmosphere and talk about the shared expat adventures. But we never imagined that it grew into so much more than this.
We have met not a few but literally hundreds of people. And that was only the beginning of this year.
It’s safe to say that we never had a richer social life and more incredible business contacts than we have now and we are super grateful for that!
Why have we updated our pricing?
Now, our vision and dream has evolved as well. Which is building a legacy for our son Luke and helping as many people develop their professional network and friendships in this amazing part of the world.
We have a simple ambitious plan on how to get there and add more value to you. And these are basically our top priorities:
- Find better venues
- Do more for business networking
- Increase frequency of events and different moments (weekends, weekdays)
- Expand territory to cover a bigger part of the French Riviera (from Menton to Saint-Tropez)
- Grow community
Easy to summarise, not so simple to achieve though. Fortunately we have a pretty good idea where to start thanks to your feedback, suggestions and questions.
Some things that we are working on now to achieve our goals are:
- Organising a lot more events at better venues
- Shooting a video series about running various businesses
- Interviews with our members
- Creating helpful articles to make your life easier
- Organising exclusive business networking events
- Setting up a referral program
- Expanding the team to answer your questions
- And many more cool stuff!
For this we need money, which we happily invest ourselves but if everyone contributes a little we can do big things together much faster!
So we have done some calculating and believe we found the right prices to reflect the organisation of more events, at better venues, in more cities, for a bigger community, more business features and better personal service.
Initially we named ourselves ‘Business Club Côte d’Azur’ for a reason. We believed that the need for business networking was much bigger than a social club.
However the answer is somewhere in between, it’s mixed. And business is done differently in the south of France. People typically come and move here for a better quality of life.
So, even though we might be used to a more direct efficient approach to business networking. A relaxed atmosphere, chit-chat and enjoying a glass of wine seems to be more appropriate in the south of France – not something to complain about really.
You never know what a simple conversation might lead to. And this also means that one size does not fits all.
That is why we have different memberships and organise various events to have a great mix of both. The individual, couples, business membership and VIP membership gives you free access to all events.
Business members enjoy many promotion opportunities such as a logo on our website, posting in our Facebook group and for our inner circle we organise exclusive business networking events.
Meetups, coffee mornings and event tickets
The meetups are our most popular events and a great way to easily meet lots of people fast. Meetups are typically on a Friday around 7 PM in one of the bigger cities: Monaco, Cannes or Nice.
Even though a lot of business has been done thanks to the connections made during the meetups, we would describe them as more social events.
In addition to the meetups we also organise less crowded coffee mornings. However from mid-July this year, we will no longer organise ‘social’ coffee mornings but will organise more meetups on different days to make sure you can all attend!
On average you can expect one or two meetup events per month and free access is included in all memberships. We gradually increase the frequency of our meetup events as demand grows.
If you would like to purchase a ticket once or as-you-go, the entrance fee is €20. Drinks are not included. You can find our upcoming events on the website or directly on Eventbrite (click here).
VIP events and our inner circle of entrepreneurs
We also organise VIP events to help you connect with fellow experienced entrepreneurs and partners.
But this is not for everyone.
The VIP events are exclusively for our inner circle of trusted and experienced entrepreneurs.
Simply because we can add the most value to our inner circle when we put a lot more thought in matching profiles and organising exclusive exciting events that we would enjoy ourselves as well.
We occassionally personally invite some selected business members on special occassions, such as when we organise an event to connect real estate professionals.
What happens to my current membership?
The current prices on our website are up-to-date and you can sign up for the 10-day free trial today. You will immediately enjoy free access to all meetup events. Simply find the right membership (click here) and sign up!
