Relocating to the French Riviera

by | Jul 28, 2022

Are you thinking about relocating to the French Riviera? We can only recommend you doing it! Simply because it’s the most beautiful place in the world if you would ask us – but we’re not really objective here 😉

Relocating to the French Riviera is a huge step. Especially if you’re coming from another region or even country.

There’s a lot of things you have to take care of and doing that all from a distance is quite a challenge.

That’s why we came up with some tips in collaboration with our member Esmeralda van Puijenbroek. She is a relocation specialist for businesses and individuals.

These tips are relevant for those looking to rent or buy and relocate to the French Riviera.

Visit the French Riviera first, if you can

It’s difficult to get all the correct information and a full picture when you just Google ‘Living in Nice’.

Especially in a bigger city, there will be some areas that are nicer or safer than others.

Make sure you’re doing some proper research. Or preferably, are able to personally explore the region before relocating.

Where to start when actually relocating to the French Riviera?

Consider getting in touch with a professional. Like a relocation specialist that could advise you on the region.

This specialist can also inform you about the relocation admin. And can get you connected with good service providers.

If you are looking for the best local spots. Of course, you can count on us. We’d be happy to share with you all the insider information on the best local spots!

Don’t submit your personal information!

When researching, be careful not to submit your personal information to public platforms or marketplaces.

People are sometimes able to use your information for fraudulent activity so just be aware. And where possible, seek out professional solutions.

A corrupt system, in a good way?

France is corrupt in a not so bad way. Specialists simply have access to priority procedures.

When working with a relocation specialist, you’re more likely to find a suitable place to live. For example, because we have a lot of connections on the French Riviera. That certainly helps to get a better (off-market) deal, and faster!

The traditional way

This region in particular still does things in a very traditional way. Meaning that not everything is digital and online – including real estate listings.

Specialists at Moov are well connected with local real estate agents. And we see listings of apartments and houses, before it goes on the market to the public.

Also as said earlier, specialists and specialised companies have access to priority procedures.

That’s how we will get things done quicker. Simply because we don’t have to follow the same route as you would have to take.

Unfair right? But it’s true!

Let us help you

We’d love to help you relocate and find you the best possible place to live – with ease!

All you have to do is unpack those bags and enjoy your new beautiful home.

Let us know if you have any other questions and concerns that we can help with!
